Weekly Wrap-Up: October 24th

on October 23, 2009 · 0 Comments

I went a little over this week, but I was able to stockup on some peanut butter to donate, plus I got my pork tenderloin for my Christmas Family Dinner! Check.

As a reminder, since I have a nice stockpile in my pantry, fridge and freezer, I typically plan all my meals from what I already have on-hand.  I use the sale ads to round out my fresh produce, grab my dairy I need that week, then the remainder goes to stocking ahead, so I NEVER pay full price!

What is Weekly Wrap-Up?

Weekly Wrap-Up is a post I do every Saturday to show you what I got this week for $40 for my family of four. My $40 a week budget includes all food, toiletries and cleaning supplies, it does not include eating out. (I do not include diapers and coffee in this budget, it is separate!)

Total Groceries OOP:  $50.63

How did you do this week? Be sure to post your trips and include links to your blog if you took an inventory or pictures.

I am under budget for the month of October. We have not had super doubes or triples since September, and we have been using our stockpile. That, and after a year of extreme couponing, I’m pretty good at getting deals! 🙂

How many all you magazine’s and newspapers do you get per week/month? Just wondering about the multitude of Peter Pan peanut butter and other items in multiples!

honeybee, I get one All You magazine and usually 2-3 newspapers each week. I recommend one paper per family member while you are stocking up, then you can adjust from there depending on your need.
