This summer, my kids are learning American history from someone who lived it: Laura Ingalls Wilder. I’m reading the Little House on the Prarie booksto Ainsley (with Garrett always close by), and she really enjoys them. She loves to pretend that she is Laura. She is so drawn to the vivid descriptions of frontier life: the log house, the farming, the animals, and the outdoors. It is such a different life from the one she knows. Honestly, some days I think Ainsley isn’t the only one who wouldn’t mind trading places with little Laura Ingalls!
