I was recently interviewed by iVillage for an article about what to buy and skip when you’re shopping at Trader Joe’s. Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite groceries, and it’s definitely my go-to for some items, but there are certain things that I do skip when shopping there. Take a look at the article and let me know if you agree!

Interesting article. I didn’t know that Stonyfield Farms makes Trader Joe’s yogurt. I wonder who makes their chocolate chips.
I love their whole wheat flour as it is very fresh. I also buy their vinegars and oils which are very good for a great price. Great article!
Organic produce is a good price if that is what you are going to buy, especially when compared to other grocery stores like Whole Foods. Apples are a great price, as well as Organic Pears when in season. Because they have a non GMO policy, I think produce is a good pick and I find some items cheaper than my farmers market. As far as packaged meats, their price for Organic Chicken Drumsticks is $1.99lb. That is the best price I have ever seen. Frozen fish is also a good price for wild caught. Also, some of my favorites are Brittish (English) Muffins – best price ever, blue corn chips, Sweet Potato Chips, Dried Seeweed, Modena Balsamic Vinegar, Coconut Oil, Frozen Veggies, Cookie Butter, Green Plant Juice, Sparkling Flavored Mineral Water. Definitely a Trader Joe’s Fan!!
