I’m looking for more beef recipes and I’d love to try this next week. Thanks for the recipe. I have two questions– maybe these are silly, I just don’t cook beef a lot.
1. What cut of beef should I get for the pot roast?
2. How do you make the dipping sauce for the french dip sandwiches? The recipe doesn’t mention that. Do you just use the liquid straight from the crockpot?
Thanks.
Allison, No questions are silly, so don’t hesitate to ask! Check with your butcher for what cut of beef you should get. He or she will know best how to direct you by how many you need to serve and how you are going to cook it. I have a friend who only gets the sirloin tip cut, but if you are using a crock pot/slow cooker, then you can purchase less expensive cuts and they will still come out tender and juicy. For your second question, yes, we just use the liquid/broth that comes straight from the crock pot!
