What is St Patrick's Day

With Easter coming early this year, it will be easy to overlook St. Patrick’s Day, which is coming up this Sunday, March 17. I urge you to take some time, however, to learn about what St. Patrick’s Day is, and why we have a really great reason to learn the story of St. Patrick and teach it to our kids.

What is St. Patrick’s Day?

You have something really interesting to tell your children when they ask you, “What is St. Patrick’s Day?” At the heart of this legend is a story that’s not about luck or leprechauns at all. It’s the story of a 16-year-old who was kidnapped from his beloved home in Ireland, but later returned there to share with his countrymen a very important message.
