If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know there is a Christmas tradition that my family participates in every year: Operation Christmas Child. This is a family missions project that we think about all year long, and because of that, it results in an ongoing conversation about giving.
Probably one of the most difficult things to teach our children is how to put aside a self-centered way of thinking and become others-focused. Operation Christmas Child helps me learn right along with my children to think about missions and ministry in a way that really helps us focus on the needs of others.
Enjoy this video post of my daughter and me talking about our shoeboxes and what giving to Operation Christmas Child means to us.
