I currently have two children at home with the flu and am recovering from a slight bit of it myself. But before the flu hit, we were busy making some fun holiday crafts and doing some more baking to head out to cookie swaps and visit with friends. Below were all items I purchased at the end of the season last year, after Christmas clearance sales at Target and Walmart. So, this is a picture reminder for you to be on the lookout after Christmas for some great Holiday deals for next year! Last year I got some great stuff during the 50-75% off sales that came the week between Christmas and New Year, and through the whole month of January.
This Santa’s Workshop came as a foam craft project, and it was great for my daughter to use her creativity and imagination. I think it was originally about $6-7, but I got it for around $1 after the holidays. In addition, we grabbed a few gingerbread house and santa’s sleigh kits. These worked fine a year later (we don’t eat them), but the white frosting was a bit dry. We just popped it into the microwave a few seconds to make it easier to work with. But, still lots of inexpensive fun. I would recommend also trying craft stores like Joann’s, Michael’s and Hobby Lobby for things to stash away.
