I am so excited to finally share with you my new iPhone Application that is out! It is called the Provisions App and it is FREE. Just search for “Provisions” in the App store and you will find it, look for the icon above. You can get it through the App store on iTunes or at this link.
“Is that the best price? Should I get it now?”
These are questions savvy shoppers ask when making purchases. The answer is easy with the Provisions App! New from Faithful Provisions, the Provisions App tells you the best price on your everyday grocery purchases. By providing you with the best possible buying prices on your grocery purchases, you will save more money than ever before! If the price on the item you want matches the price on the price list, or close to it, you’ll know you better “get it now”!
How does it work?
You’re at the grocery store and wondering if $1.99/lb is a good price for ground beef. Just look it up on the Provisions App and see what the best price is for ground beef. Take control of your spending! Don’t be fooled by grocery store hype! Having the best prices at your fingertips allows you to be an educated and empowered shopper, in control of your money!
The Provisions App was created by the founder of FaithfulProvisions.com and Randa Solutions. The list of products and retailers is regularly updated by the staff of FaithfulProvisions.com web site, in order to reflect the best possible pricing and variety of products. The list is quickly downloaded when you run the App or, if no network is available, the most recent downloaded list is used.
That is AWESOME! Can’t wait to check it out! =)

This looks great! How do we know before purchasing if our local stores are included? The downloads have regional pricing? While this looks exciting I think I’m not understanding the “how” very clearly? 🙂
Super Jenn – The prices are average sale prices and will vary a little by region, but will give you a ball park to shoot for when purchasing items at the grocery store. There are two stores, Aldi and Costco, I included because they have great “everyday low prices” and items I don’t see go on sale often. Great places to get staple items. But, all other pricing is applicable to any store. I hope this helps!
I just got an iphone and this will come in so handy! Thank you!
Hey Kelly! Are you working on anything for a Blackberry?? I would LOVE TO have an app for my phone from you. Just a thought. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
Alison – Not yet, but maybe in the future!
An app for the Android would be great too!
Yes, we need a Blackberry app!
this is gonna be so neat! can’t wait to get it on my iphone and start using it!
Please, please, please do one for the Blackberry too! I love your site!
I just got the app! Love it :o)
That’s really great! I could really use this. Great idea…..
You just made me really want an iPhone. I may actually have to listen to my husband and get one.
Very cool! I will have to steal my husband’s phone when I got shopping! 🙂
Please work on this for droid too!!
Neeeed this for Blackberry!!!
what about those of us on “cheap” cell phone plans who will not be getting a iphone any time soon?
I WOULD LOVE this information!!!!!!
Thank you for all that you are doing to encourage us to be good stewards of what God has given us!
This info is on her main website right underneath the app announcement.
Great idea! Would love to see it for Android phones (G1, Droid, Hero, MyTouch, Nexus One).
Sounds cool! I have an iTouch not an iPhone will it still come up with the list even if we don’t have WiFi in the store?
Sammy – I have an iTouch and when I click on Apps, it just takes me to the store if I am near a WiFi connection. I didn’t think it would. Then you find it that way. Let me know if that works for you!
I don’t have a cell phone really, just one of those pay-as-you-go phones but I just make myself up a price book in a little notebook that fits nicely into my purse and then I know all the best prices on the stores in my area (we don’t have Publix and several others but we do have Kroger and an
Aldi). The prices change some but I just keep my little notebook updated with the things we eat. Easy and free!
This is great! I only have an iTouch, which my kids got me for Christmas, and it just wouldn’t update, but I could get at all the info that was already there, offline. Thanks so much, I’ve been meaning to get around to making a pricebook.

Daphne – I have an iTouch too and if you are near a wireless connection you can get an update each time you have access!
I would LOVE it for my Droid!!
Great idea! would love this for Verizon’s “Droid” phones too! 🙂
Will you do one for Blackberry too! It looks awesome, but I don't have an IPhone.
Hey Kelly. iTouch user here and I wanted to see if you'd consider adding to the app an option that we can add our favorite stores on our own (like Trader Joe's!). So, I can move my price book to the iTouch for when I go shopping.
Whitney – That is a great suggestion, I will put that on in the queu for future upgrades! Thanks so much!
any chance you could post the list for those of us who don't have iphones???
any chance you could post the list for those of us who don't have iphones???
kelly,
i've been using the iphone app and it's been helpful….what i can't seem to find is a listing for potatoes…..i saw that there were some cheap ones at Aldi but i rarely make it out there and wanted to know what a good price in general for them would be…thanks
I would love this app for the PalmPre!
Thank you! I’ll definitely put this to good use!
I have an iPhone and when I just downloaded this app, it keeps saying “could not connect to the server to update the list. It won’t connect for some reason. I even tried deleting it and downloading again but it’s still not working. Any suggestions?
Jennifer, There is an issue with the app right now, they are working on it as we speak! I’ll post an update once it is fixed. Thanks for your patience!
Jennifer – Okay, the servers have been reset and you should be able to connect now. Let me know if you have any issues.
Hooray! Looking forward to trying it out on my husband’s ipod touch soon.
I second the request for the app on other formats, I hope to get an Ipad for Christmas but I have a blackberry now.
you are such a blessing! thanks for all your hard work!
Got it – Love it. Thanks
Kelly – Will this app work on the iPad?
Yep!
Would love it on my verizon droid!!
love the new app. What a great tool!
Kelly, this app. looks awesome! Is there any possibility that you will have one for the Droid soon? thanks for all you do! You are a blessing!
A wonderful shopping app with enormous potential to save you even more money. Kelly, I’m curious to know whether you will include a reward component to your app in the future? Thanks for a great app!
RedLaser is another great grocery app. Read the review at: http://www.doitwithipad.com/100/best-grocery-app-part-1/
Is this app avaible for android phones?
For now only on iPhone! Sorry. but you can print the free pdf version on the Free Resources page.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE has this for DROID soon!
Yes! Please, please, please, please for droids!
Want one for android too… sad face 🙁
yesssssssssssssssss for androids! I’ll be your best friend! lol
I have it, rarely use it. Since I only shop aldi & 1 other store, not including WF/TJ, the price comparison doesn’t help me. I have no idea which store is carrying that low price in the app, so I’m probably not going to take advantage of that deal. If I knew which store was claiming the deal, I’d use the app all the time. I hope I’m making sense.
Kimberlee, the prices in the app are general prices you can get items at a ballpark price when they are on sale. For instance if I was going to purchase chicken breasts, I would want to shoot for about $1.99/lb on sale. So, if I found them for $3.99/lb, that wouldn’t be a good price, but $2.50 would possibly be a stock up price. Hope that helps. Oh, and these are conventional prices, not organic. There is an organic list you can check prices separately on the app and List Download.
Love the idea of the iphone app for comparing grocery prices, but I have an droid. Is there any way to get the same app on my phone?! Thanks for all you do!!
Unfortunately right now it’s only available for the iPhone. However, I do have them in a printable format you can print off to take with you!

I see that Whitney asked part of my question/suggestion… It was about being able to add other stores onto the apps; the other portion of the question is, can I delete specific store/s I won’t be needing since I live in Northern Ca. & we don’t have them in these parts of the country??? As you may guess I’m not very techo savvy & I’m still learning to use my “iphone.”
Hi, I do believe this is a great website. I stumbledupon it 😉 I’m going to come back once again since I saved as a favorite it. Money and freedom is the greatest way to change, may you be rich and continue to guide others.
Hi, I love your website! I recently had my first child and will be staying at home with him, and have already learned so much about saving my family money. I’m not sure if there is anything you can do on your side, but I wanted to let you know that I downloaded the Iphone app and when I opened it up on my phone it was completly blank, and on the bottom was a message that said never updated. Is there a different more up to date app that I should download? I tried deleting it and redownloading it several times and each time when I tried to open it it does the same thing. I would be very interested in having this app so if I need to address this with someone else to get it fixed please let me know. Thank you so much. ~ Shanna Ward
Just found your wonderful website. Downloaded app for iPhone but it’s blank. How can I fix this?

Just found this awesome website, tried downloading the app and am having the same problem as others. Do you no longer use the app?
I am not sure what is wrong with it, I’ll contact Apple and see. So sorry for all the problems!
Hey there.
I was thinking of adding a hyperlink back to your
blog since both of our websites are primarily based around the same niche.
Would you prefer I link to you using your website address: http:
