Homemade-Guacamole

Avocados are on sale for $.64 (BOGO price) in the Publix ad starting tomorrow & with Super Bowl this weekend, the timing is perfect for some homemade guacamole!  Whenever I see avocados this cheap, I try to make extras so I can freeze some for later! I like to make my own homemade guacamole whenever possible, because I can customize it just the way I like – plus it’s so easy!

Question….do you freeze just the mashed avocado or the guacamole already prepared, I would love to try it.

Kelly – You can do either, but I think at least freeze the avocado with a little lime in it and leave the pit in too. The pit keeps it from turning dark. Be sure to get all the air out and then you can flatten it like a book and do a bunch. Guess where I’ll be tomorrow!!

I was at wholefoods yesterday. They have a four pack for $3.99, I know this is not as low of a price as Kroger but these are organic! Thanks for this blog! I am reading/listening to your book on my way to/from home!

That looks perfect! I never thought of freezing it. That’s a good idea!
