If you’re looking for cheap Father’s Day gift ideas, here is a listing of my Top Ten picks. These are not only great Father’s Day deals, but I’ve included several creative ideas that will help you stay within your budget while still celebrating Dad on his special day.
Inexpensive Father’s Day Gifts
Try any of these inexpensive Father’s Day gifts. These won’t leave a dent in your budget, but they are fun Father’s Day presents that your Dad will enjoy.
1. $5 gift cards—How about an inexpensive $5 gift card (or 2, or 3) for a special treat in the afternoons. Gift cards don’t have to be for a full meal at at restaurant. A card for the amount of $5 will cover a great drink at Starbucks, or several drinks at Sonic, or a delicious milkshake at Chick-fil-A.
2. A Handmade Book of Coupons. Make a coupon book for Dad and offer FREE coupons for any or all of these tasks:
- Taking out the trash
- Washing the car
- Breakfast in bed
- Dad’s favorite homemade dessert (for my husband, that means a Derby Pie)
- A week’s worth of putting the lid down for Dad (he, he, I couldn’t help myself!)
3. Handmade card or bookmark. Every daddy loves and appreciates a child’s personal thoughts of love expressed. Let him know how much you value him this day, and help your kids do the same. This is one of the best things he will receive.
4. Magazine subscriptions. At Faithful Provisions, we are constantly on the lookout for all the latest magazine deals. And check on Amazon for more great magazine deals for dads as we get closer to Father’s Day. Plus, if he’s a reader, there are more great reads in these Christian Father’s Day gifts.
5. Photo books. You can get an inexpensive flip book and put great photos in it that Dad can keep in his office. These are always on sale. Plus, keep an eye on the photo deals we list and you can often get free items like mouse pads and photo collages, things that he can put in his home office or at work that will remind him of his kids. I got my husband a mouse pad one year, and I love it. (I wish I had one…hint, hint!)
6. Father’s Day Lunch. My dad loves my cooking, so why should we go out to eat with the huge crowds? Dining in for Father’s Day is the best option. Find lots of great ideas for Dad’s special meal in my Recipe Box.
7. A basket of marinades for grillers. Go to TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and check their gourmet items section. You will find marinades and spices for a fraction of the price you would get elsewhere. Also, you can add this homemade All-Purpose Greek Marinade to Dad’s basket.
8. Tickets to a local Triple A baseball game. Make it a Dad’s Night Out with inexpensive tickets to a close-by Triple A baseball game. Check the team’s website for coupons and other money-saving options.
9. Garden Stone. I often suggest these one-of-a-kind Garden stepping stones as precious keepsake presents for Mom or Dad. If your dad is a gardener or enjoys landscaping, this would make a perfect gift. And for a first Father’s Day gift, this would be sweet with little footprints. You can find these on Amazon, and most JoAnn’s and Michaels stores carry their own versions of stepping stones kits. (Use the 40% off coupons in the Sunday inserts to purchase.)
10. Take advantage of Daily Deal coupons. I check the daily deals every day, like Groupon and Eversave, and I see a lot of coupons for golf, whitewater rafting—great outdoor activities that just depend on where you live and what area attractions are nearby. You can also find magazine deals, photo deals, and restaurant deals too. Use the daily deals as a gift in and of itself, or make the deal part of something bigger.
There are lots more options for you if you are looking for something cool for your dad or husband for Father’s Day. Take a look at these ideas for Father’s Day gifts that you make yourself or purchase. Don’t worry, you’re going to find a great idea!

For the Dad who has everything…except enough time with his kids, here’s a great Father’s Day gift that will help create memories that will last a lifetime.
Scoot & Doodle offers a family-friendly online playspace where families play and grow closer, face-to face, using the shared doodle pad. (http://scootdoodle.com/hangouts) For Dads that are away from their kids on a business trip, this kind of app is a great way for them to interact through more than just video. A child could draw a picture along with their dad in real-time. The cool part about Scoot & Doodle is that multiple people can draw at the same time, which makes a game like tic-tac-toe and pictionary possible. All you need is an Internet connection and a computer with a video camera and you can start hanging out. It’s a free app on Google+ Hangouts.
I agree with Kelsey- I love Scoot & Doodle! It’s my favorite new site and a great way to connect with dad on Father’s day. I actually participated in their Google + #weeklychallenge and made my dad his card online. Pretty cool!
How about a mug from dunkin donuts (today was donut day, found out while we were there). All coffee/iced coffee refills are $0.99. (Half price+). Great idea for kids. Ours cost about $7, very big. This will also help our budget. (Thanks to the gentlemen I saw with one!)
