This is a funny title to wish my husband a Happy 7th Wedding Anniversary, but during my morning walk, I decided I wanted to share with you a little of our story.
Today is our 7th Wedding Anniversary and since meeting my husband I have never felt so loved and cherished. He gives me a comfort and a peace that I have never known. I thank the Lord each and every day for joining us, because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt God brought us together.
I knew on our first date I would marry him. I can’t explain it, but you know how people tell you that you will know. Well, I knew. I called my friend Leigh Ann after I got home from our first date and told her.
Before I met my husband, I struggled with my self-worth for years. My weight fluctuated, I was living a life on the wrong track, God was not first. A few months before I met Bradford, I finally trusted the Lord, and in Him and His love for me, I came to value my worth. But most importantly my worth in Him.
I think it was only after that, when the Lord lead us together. You see, if I had met my husband before I recognized that my Father in Heaven is the only one that can fill me, I might not have ever gotten there. I might have always seen my husband as my only source of self-worth and joy. But God in all His infinite wisdom and compassion, held off on our union until I had been completed for what He had purposed for me.
In looking to the Father for my needs, I take that burden off my husband. There is a “God-Shaped hole” that only God can fill. That is how God originally created marriage. I love how He has such an amazing Plan.

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and we’re celebrating 8 years! October is good month!

Even if a person struggles with self worth and doesn’t always get things together in the right order, God STILL honors a humble heart and helps us along one day at a time. October is a fun month to celebrate wedding anniversaries – just marked 35 YEARS together last week! God saw us through the ups AND the downs (plenty of those) even when we were not committed wholeheartedly to Him. Blessings to you………..
