I am so excited about this month’s prep day. I recently was given a Wondermill Grain Mill from Life’s Daily Bread so I could mill fresh grain for my bread products. I will be incorporating mostly fresh bread products in my prep day activities tomorrow and Friday.
I got the unique opportunity to sit in on a baking day with my friend Anna who is a baking queen! She has been baking her own fresh milled breads for almost 15 years, and I learned so much. In the next few weeks, I will be posting a few videos I recorded with her tips and tricks on making bread dough in bulk. You won’t want to miss it!
What is a Kitchen Prep Day?
A Kitchen Prep Day is just my version of a freezer cooking or once a month cooking day. I use a “prep day” to cook more breakfast and snack type of items for my family that I don’t want to take the time to make each morning. We enjoy cooking dinner together each night, so I prefer to plan ahead for our morning meals.
Here is my Master Plan:
Homemade Wheat Waffles
Homemade Tortillas
Pizza Dough
Carrot Apple Muffins
I will be sharing recipes for the items above in the next few days, so stay tuned.
Will you be joining me for Kitchen Prep Day? If so, what will you be making? Leave us a comment and share your ideas and tips.
