Is .79/lb for a whole chicken a great, great price?

very good price, but not great, great. HG Hills, Food Lion and other locals stores often offer whole chickens at $0.49 – $0.59.

FYI: I haven’t confirmed this information with anyone other than the cashier that checked us out… but I am told that due to several fraudulant coupons having been passed at Kroger stores in the past, they no longer accept internet coupons. I have heard this one other time as well. But the last time I saw this, the cashier actually went over to the customer service desk to confirm acceptance and they took them without any problems. That was over a month ago, but today when I tried to use two for veggies, she did not accept them, didn’t ask anyone, just didn’t accept them at all. I asked if it was a new rule for all Kroger stores and she stated that apparently it is a new rule. Normally I would have talked with someone else to confirm for me, but my husband was at home with our two little ones and a great niece that was probably gonna tie him up and feed him bird food while making make him scream “Uncle”.. so I felt the need to save him rather than fight two fifty cent coupons. 🙂 Once I made it home, the troops had indeed captured their prisoner and he was loosing oh so badly!! LOL So again, not sure how valid this information is, but if anyone else runs into this same situation, let us know. I shopped at the Elysian Fields store this afternoon.. and the previous account was at this same store.

FYI: I used internet coupons at the Nashboro Village Kroger yesterday with no problem at all.

Ditto what Dawson said. Still, I’ll buy them for .49!! BUT, very sadly, the Kettle Brand chips doesn’t seem to apply to the Mid-Atlantic region. Does anyone know for sure? Sometimes my Kroger sucks at putting up sales tags, especially in the natural section. Current lowest price for the chips was marked $2.50 here but I can’t rely on that. My Kroger often doesn’t mark sales. I didn’t have time to mess with it today, but would love to know.

Hi Kelly! I scored Carefree pantiliners 22 ct. for only $0.02. They are regularly priced at Kroger at $1.02 and there are 50¢/1 coupons available for printing from Smart Source, Valuesforhealth.com and you can clip one from 1/09/11 SS.

I have a question, my receipt has the $5 savings at the bottom from the game day sales, but the items on the receipt don’t reflect the savings. IE the velveeta cups showed $.99… then had the bold Kroger Savings $.50. Does this mean that when tracking prices from my kroger receipts, I have to take the printed price paid and subtract the bold savings price to reflect what I actually paid?

Yes, Megan you are right. The price, minus the “bold” savings is the price you paid (before coupons).

Garden of Eatin’ tortilla chips are $1.49 after $5/10 sale. In my Kroger I found tons of $1/1 peelies on the bags, making them $.49 each 🙂

I am unsure if all Kroger stores would have this my store is located in Ark. But, it would be a worth a look. I found Colgate Total toothpaste Enamel Strength 4.0 oz. on clearance for $1.39. I used my $1.00 off of 1 coupon from SS 01/16. Got a great deal only .39 cents each.

How often does Kroger run their mega event? I am wanting to get prepared by purchasing some coupons on ebay for items that I use on a regular basis.

It varies. They will typically run the Mega Event for 2 weeks, so you could purchase the coupons at the beginning of the sale & have 2 weeks to use them.
