Contemporary Christian Music artist Matt Maher is releasing a new CD today, All the People Said Amen. Last night, my friend Gretchen and I went to see Matt (along with Meredith Andrews) performing live in downtown Nashville. I also got to meet him!
It was so wonderful to hear him singing in person the song that has been my anthem every car ride to and from the hospital during my father’s illness these last two weeks, “Lord, I Need You.” What a blessing! I loved hearing him talk about all the behind-the-scenes stuff involved in putting together the CD, and of course, the stories behind each of the songs he wrote.
I know you’re going to love Matt’s new album. (If you think you don’t know him, you probably do–he wrote the popular upbeat worship song, “Your Grace is Enough.”)
