A few months ago, I finally gave in and ordered the Paderno Spiralizer on Amazon. I had been seeing all these great posts on social media about how great they are and I desperately needed some variety in the meal and veggie department. I absolutely LOVE it! And my kids can barely tell the difference when I replace them for noodles.
Right, now I use it mostly to do Zoodles for things like Chicken Zoodle Soup, and to replace traditional noodles in dishes like Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce. But lately my favorite way to try it is under a black bean or quinoa burger at lunch topped with avocado! A few weeks ago I used it to make curly fries with our burgers… the kids LOVED it.
Then last week we had an abundance of cherry tomatoes and I made some zoodles to go under this! It was fantastic and the kids even loved it.
My little man, well my 8 year old who is still little to me, can be super picky. I spiralized some cucumbers, carrots and apples into ribbons and he absolutely gobbled them down! Sometimes with kids its all about making things fun and giving more variety.
It has definitely been worth the $29 I spent, and now that I’m in a rut on what else to use it for, I am going to grab this book Inspiralized because it has been highly recommended by quite a few people, plus its a best seller and how could you go wrong for $11?
