I’m excited to let you know about a couple of new changes you’ll find here at Faithful Provisions–changes that will make it easier for you to store the recipes you find here to a central recipe box, plus add the ingredients you need to your weekly shopping list.
I’ve teamed up with ZipList.com to make this possible. They are the folks who power the recipe boxes and shopping lists you find online at popular food sites like Martha Stewart and AOL’s KitchenDaily, and now they’re at Faithful Provisions! You can add recipes to one central recipe box here, on ZipList, on any other partner websites or mobile apps, or using ZipList’s free mobile apps, and they all get saved in one place. How convenient!
My Recipe Box
Here’s how it works: First, you’ll now see a blue “Save Recipe” button to the right of the title of each recipe, just above the Ingredients. (You can see what I mean on this recipe for Baked Chickpeas). When you click this blue button, you’ll be able to save this recipe to a recipe box that you can access from the new My Recipe Box section, which you’ll find under the Kelly’s Kitchen tab on the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Recipe Shopping List
You also have the option to save the recipe ingredients to your grocery list, making it easy to plan your weekly shopping. You can then access your grocery list, which has automatically categorized the recipe ingredients by aisle (amazing!), from the new Recipe Shopping List section that can also be found under the Kelly’s Kitchen tab. You can then add anything else you need to buy for the week, like milk, eggs, and juice, to the same list.
I hope you like these new features, so let me know what you think about them. I’d love to hear any feedback you may have. Bon appétit!
