Brandy over at I Prefer Publix says that Publix is changing the penny item redemption day to Wednesday starting 2010. I like that change, gives me a few more days to get organized with my lists before going to the grocery!

Sunday is my shoppping day and prep day for the week. Kind of sad of this but will have to make wednesday pick up extra deal day.
Lame! Sunday is my shopping day and it was always nice to get the penny item. I’m too busy with work during the week to go shopping on Wednesday. It was nice while it lasted!
If Wednesday is still the first day of the new ad, that means I have to make my new list with the new deals and get to the store all on that day! I like the ad coming out on Wednesday and knowing that I have between then and Sunday to make my list.

don’t like the new penny day because I like to go on the weekends when I don’t have to work.
I don’t like it. Its not enough time with the ‘new’ ad for those of us who start the ad on a Wed. I work full-time and shopping during the week is usually a horrible experience for me and the kids!
I like it. I always have to go make a quick trip during the week anyway. AND I really don’t like going to the Grocery store on the weekend.
I don’t like it either. I have too little time to prepare my list. Plus, I work and by the time I fix dinner and get to the grocery, it will be 8pm! I think Publix knows people aren’t going to shop on a Wednesday and that’s why they changed it!
Traditionally Wednesdays are the slowest sales days for grocery stores, so I am sure they are trying to boost their midweek sales. However, I hate the idea. I like having a few days to review the ad and get my coupons together. Maybe I will have to start making Wednesdays my staple milk and produce days, just to take advantage of the penny item.
Yuck! I like shopping on Sunday, we have the afternoon to go through the paper and work on the list (if it’s not done already). Wednesday will throw a kink in my system!
I don’t like the penny item being changed to Wed. I work full time Mon. thru Fri. I love to read the Sun. paper, check out the sales and deals, clip coupons, etc. Then go to the grocery store. My shopping day is usally always Sun. afternoon. I will not make a special trip to Publix to buy $10.00 worth of stuff on a Wed. just so I can get the penny item. Not worth it to me after a long day at work and then picking up my daughter after swim practice. We get home late almost every nite of the week. Grocery shopping not on the agenda Mon. thru Fri.
I have to work so i am not happy.
I don’t like this at all! I use the later part of the week to plan out my shopping trip for Monday.

I think I will pick up my salad stuff for work on Wednesdays and just make this work. I have a fridge at work and Publix is on my way so I guess we will see is going to my attitude.

I am not a huge fan of this but I will not complain b/c at least they are still offering it. I does not take much to get $10 pre-coupon items so you want be in the store long, so I will deal with it! I LOVE PUBLIX!
I do not like to shop on Sunday’s because of church & family time. I see it as my day “off”, as if Mom’s ever get a day off. 🙂 SO I am actually happy about it.
This is SO sad for me. I ALWAYS do my shopping on Sun. or Mon. Bummber.
I usually shop during the week, like Thursday of Friday. I don’t get my grocery list together Wednesday since the ad comes out that day. Maybe they are going to change the day the ad comes out too?
