Wooden Advent Calendar Tree

If you don’t want to go with a real tree for your child’s Advent Jesse Tree, these wooden Advent calendar trees are awesome. The one pictured above is on Amazon for just $4 HERE. This way, you don’t have to do a full tree for your Jesse Tree ornaments for Advent. This will set easily on your kitchen table and provide the perfect centerpiece for the holidays.

Another idea, and one that we typically use, is to just gather branches from the backyard. Collect them so they are of different sizes, and sort of tie them into a “bouquet.” Place them in any kind of container that you have on hand: a vase, a tin can, or even a large coffee or vegetable can that you have wrapped in pretty Christmas paper. Be sure your container is stable by filling it with something so the branches are supported and so that it doesn’t topple over. Use pebbles or small rocks, glass marbles, or beads.

Children can make or color ornaments that represent each story and then hang them on a Jesse Advent calendar tree. […]
