This is a great way to use up leftover Pot Roast or beef brisket. I usually snag multigrain loafs at Kroger and freeze them, and get my cheese on sale. So, this makes for a very inexpensive meal!
French Dip Sandwiches
1 multigrain loaf
1 lb shredded beef
shredded monterey jack or cheddar cheese
A-1 Sauce
Lay loaf on aluminum foil. Then split loaf in half and lay beef inside, and top with sauce and cheese. Wrap up and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes or until warm.
It is that easy!

Yummy! Sounds good think I will be making this tonight with all the leftover pot roast meat I have. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
sounds tastey but I don't think I'd call that a French dip as you're missing two important parts of that. The au jus that makes it “french” and the dipping in a sauce that makes it a “dip”.
We made these last week, except we used sliced roast beef and let it sit in some au jus for a few minutes before putting on a french loaf. We then topped it with mozzarella cheese and used the leftover au jus for dipping! Sooo good!
Would it feed 3 adults?
What a great idea. I made these tonight . I added horseradish mayo. Thanks for the idea. The kids loved it!
we make this too but I cook my meat in the crock pot with beef broth and lipton onion soup mix then shred it and put it on bread then if we have been and juice left over I save it for another meal and use it with egg noodles and have beef and noodles over potatoes it makes both meals cheaper for my family of 10
