Following My Passions

Delight Yourself-Passions PostFollowing My Passions

Things have changed a lot in our home and lives the past few years. My passions have changed a lot.  If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know that our family is in the process of adopting.  When I first started Faithful Provisions, I had 2 small kids at home and my passion was to share my couponing tips for saving at the grocery store and pass that money-saving knowledge on to you.

Over the years, we have changed our lifestyle to less processed foods and more natural alternatives.  I began to see that the money-saving lifestyle I had become used to using was not working the same.  I was not finding as many coupons, or nearly as many sales.  Now, don’t hear me say that I don’t try to save money, I do. I just don’t spend all my time couponing anymore.  Instead, I have started using my other avenues of saving to keep our budget low.

Changing My Passions

One thing that hasn’t changed is that I still LOVE to share what I learn!  It’s the things I am passionate about sharing that have changed a bit. I don’t get as excited about coupons like I used to, but I do get excited about other things.   Things I think you also find interesting.  So, I am going to try to start sharing more of those other things with you. Things like…

Healthy Eating (including healthy recipes!)
Natural Lifestyle
Essential Oils
Homeschooling
Parenting
My Faith
Knitting
Adoption

Pursuing My Passions

Now, I am not going anywhere, just changing format a little bit. Honestly, I am not sure how this is going to look. Some days it’s overwhelming trying to juggle it all. I have really been giving it to the Lord and letting Him lead my direction. After all, he was the one who built this platform – not me. I have heard him tell me to quit being a perfectionist. To just see where it goes. To stop trying to make it something it is not anymore.

Can I tell you something? It’s been very freeing. It feels like a weight being lifted and as a result, my passions and excitement are starting to rise to the top!  I’ve felt a little “blah” lately … almost like things here have been on autopilot.  Just refreshing and renewing myself so I can share more of myself with you.

Since we won’t be posting as many deals or grocery store matchups, I want to send you over to some other deal bloggers. These are friends of mine and women I respect, dand they do a GREAT job of bringing great store matchups and deals. I think you’ll really like them!

So stay tuned and let me know what you think!

Hi Kelly! So proud of you for taking that ‘unknown path’!! It takes courage to make your God dreams known to everyone else…but it’s amazing the freedom that comes with taking that step toward Him and where He leads. I am so excited to see all you have to share…especially in homeschooling and essential oils. Keep it coming!!

Michelle, yes it can be a bit scary at times, you feel a bit vulnerable and like an open book! But thank you for reading and your encouragement!

Kelly, Ya know I have learned a lot on this site not just about couponing but great daily devotions, recipes, home ideas. I have really enjoyed your blog and will keep enjoying it for as long as you want to keep it going. I am looking forward to learning new things that you are going to pass along. I know it has been a lot having to keep the coupons coming everyday and I really appreciate the time you took to do that for everyone. I’m sure everyone feels the same, that god blessed us with you!
