My Kroger Trip

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

my-kroger-trip-july-4Yes, I am making the grocery circuit this week!  I got pretty motivated with the long weekend and made it to Kroger.  I seriously lucked out because the Horizon Organic Tuberz (organic version of Go-gurt) were on clearance for just $1.99 and they are regularly $3.99!  I got four boxes, so if they don’t get gobbled up in the next week, I’ll freeze the rest for a cold summer treat.

Checkout all of this week’s Kroger Deals and Coupon Matchups for details on my trip.

Organic Strawberries — $2.50
Almond Breeze Milk — $1.50
Orange Juice — $2.99 (not a deal, just needed it for smoothies)
Applesauce — $1.79 (not ideal, but organic is like $6 for that size!)
Horizon Organic Yogurt Tuberz — manager’s special for $1.99 (we got 4 packs)

How did you do this week?  Make it to Kroger?  Please share your trip savings below.

We went to King Soopers tonight to return a Red Box movie and ended up getting Mazretti salad dressing for about 80cents a jar….they had BOGO and I had two $1 off coupons. Also took advantage of the Sargento sliced cheese on sale which ended up being 99cents each. Not much, but good for an unexpected/unplanned coupon run. My husband tries not to act excited in the store, but talks a bunch in the car on the way home about the savings…..

I have an issue with Kroger and was wondering if others had the same. I removed ALL the e-coupons on my Kroger card except items that I know for a fact that I would only be buying one of and the value is over .55. When I run my Kroger card, if there is a coupon on it that I have bought multiples of, my Kroger won’t let me use paper coupons for the additional items, plus it doesn’t double or triple either. I really missed out on some big savings on the Totinos last week because of this. My coupons wouldn’t double unless I used my card first and then it wouldn’t let me use the rest of my paper coupons because of the e-coupon on the card. I did think afterward, I could have broken up the transactions, but I wasn’t sure how many e-coupons I had on the card, plus it was a second go-round of voiding and re-ringing my groceries.

Did you know that most of the apples in American applesauce come from China? I refuse to spend a fortune on organic applesauce, but I do stick with the Musselman brand, which costs somewhere in between, with US apples.
